The global financial meltdown means that people whose livelihood is in sales have to be more skilled at survival than ever before. If you’re in the salesforce, you’re aware that your most important asset is your intelligence and stick-to-it-iveness. But your customer list, well that’s worth more than gold.
If you have your sales info in Macintosh or iCal, you know that it’s taken a
backup your data image
lot of work to put together that critical salesforce list of names and numbers. You always remember to do a backup of that info to make certain it’s safe. You want 24/7 access to it, but what if you want that crucial name or phone number and you aren’t able to get to it? That inability to get access to your Macintosh or iCal sales data can mean you lose a sale. There’s a way to do it now with a new program that automatically does a backup and syncs all of your salesforce info with Mac and iCal. Then you can seamlessly upload it to your device and have it with you all the time.
It’s a huge plus and you can get it from a great small company named PocketMac. The applet is PocketMac Backup for SalesForce. Once you download it, it effortlessly does a backup every fifteen minutes, of all of your SalesForce data into your Mac address Book. Also, it does a backup of tasks and calendars to iCal. Then you have it in your Time Machine backup and you can sync it easily with each of the other devices you use.
So now the good news is that you can have all of your sales force data on your Macintosh, iCal and your handheld device, whenever and where ever you want it. After you set it up, you just login to your account and PocketMac Backup for SalesForce takes care of everything else.
For people in the sales community who use Macintosh and iCal and need instant access and a secure backup of salesforce data, PocketMac Backup for SalesForce is a godsend.

Great post! Just wanted to let you know you have a new subscriber- me!
For those people without a mac (so they can’t run pocket mac), we have been working on a tool that does automatic backup in a more fine grained way, and best of all it is backed up to the cloud so you can refer to the data when you need it but don’t need to download the zip files or worry about keeping a local copy.
